About Ceri …
Cerisport was founded by Ceri Barnes in 2000. Ceri had originally studied professional dance at
Arts Educational School in London and qualified as a teacher of dance in 1982.
After teaching modern and classical dance to both children and adults she decided to change direction in 1989 and studied to teach fitness classes. Ceri originally became an exercise to music teacher and from then on has studied many other aspects of health and fitness. She has a wide range of qualifications including Pilates (level 3), pre & post natal exercise (level 3), sports nutrition, personal training, stress management and is also First Aid trained. Ceri has also recently achieved an Advanced CPD in Modern Pregnancy Functional Exercise Programming and Birth Preparation.
She is a PureStretch Master Trainer (1 of only 5 in the UK). So not only does she run her PureStretch class at the studio, she also runs courses for teachers wanting to teach this AMAZING new discipline.
In addition to her classes at the Cerisport Studios, Ceri also teaches one-to-one and small group training. She offers a wide range of training to all of her clients and will always tailor each individual sessions to her client. Ceri is a member of REP’s and Fitness Professionals.
Ceri’s passion and enthusiasm for teaching helps others to remain fit and healthy and have lots of fun too!

I am thrilled to have introduced PreNatal Pilates and Postnatal Pilates to the studio as I absolutely love working with pregnant clients and helping them to get back into shape after the birth. I have a hugely rewarding job. To see my clients enjoying fitness and gaining positive results through their own hard work is wonderful!”
